Tarry LaLonde, 71, passed away August 1, 2023, in Clayton, NY while he was with his wife and family, following sudden cardiac arrest. He was born on February 15, 1952 to James and Thelma LaLonde of Oneida, NY. Tarry attended the United States Naval Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science as a member of the Class of 1974. He later earned an MBA from the University of Baltimore. He reached the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Navy after 5 years of service, and was awarded with the National Defense Service Medal & Naval Achievement Medal. Tarry was honorably discharged from active duty to the Naval Reserves in 1979.Tarry was a Chemical Plant Manager at FMC for 17 years. He spent the remainder of his career as a partner at PwC and later at IBM. Tarry had over 20 years of experience in IT program and project management in both the federal and civilian industry sectors. He retired as an IT consultant in 2020. Tarry enjoyed retirement by traveling with his wife, spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf, and fishing in the 1000 Islands. Tarry is survived by his wife, Susan (Schoonover) LaLonde of Manassas, VA; his children Rob LaLonde (Crystal) of Commerce, GA, Jim LaLonde (Janette) of Romansville, PA, Roger LaLonde (Brittany) of Philadelphia, PA, and Katy Keegan (Justin) of Manassas, VA; grandchildren Connor, Caden, Sophia, Sam, Gatlin, Navy, Grey, Bryce, and Margaux; and many nieces & nephews. He is also survived by his siblings Trudy Laurin (Tom) of Oneida, NY, Michael LaLonde of San Antonio, TX, Mark LaLonde (Donna) of Canastota, NY, Ken LaLonde (Lisa) of Williamsburg, VA, and Kim LaLonde (Peggy) of Royal Palm Beach, FL; as well as sisters-in-law Suzanne LaLonde (NY), Elizabeth LaLonde (IL), Dorothy Mason (FL), and Lynda LaLonde (FL).He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Thelma LaLonde; siblings David, Dennis, Roger, and Richard LaLonde; and sisters-in-law Geraldine and Ota Lalonde. A memorial service will be scheduled, and Tarry's final resting place will be in St. Helena's Cemetery in Oneida, NY.
