We’d like to thank the 21 chapters, four parent clubs and two Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) for providing over $70,000 in support for both programs in 2024.

The information below is provided for informational purposes. The U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association is not responsible for these programs, but encourages alumni to support Admissions in any way that interests them.

Blue & Gold Officer Program

Coordinated through the USNA Admissions Office, the Blue & Gold Officer Program trains a nationwide network of informed volunteers who assist in the candidate admissions process. This group of more than 2,500 volunteers consists of active duty and Naval Reserve officers, retired military personnel, alumni, friends and supporters. Blue & Gold Officers (BGOs) serve every state and several overseas territories. BGOs are assigned to high school liaison duty and are expected to make the most positive impression of the USNA and the naval service. They are qualified to counsel prospective midshipmen on every aspect of the Naval Academy. BGOs typically attend college information sessions at schools and participate in college fairs and congressional service academy functions.
