Steve RASMUSSEN ’88, PMP

San DIEGO Chapter Trustee

A native of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Steve graduated in 1988 with a B.S. degree in Computer Science. While at the academy he competed in the shot put and discus throw on the Navy Track & Field team and earned six N-stars.

Steve served on active duty for 28 years. At sea, he served in six surface ships (cruisers, destroyers, and frigates) and on a strike group staff as flag secretary. Ashore he served two tours in the Pentagon in OPNAV N96 and N81. After his award winning command tour, he joined the Navy Acquisition Corps for two acquisition program office tours. 

After the Navy, Steve became active in the San Diego chapter serving as secretary, vice president, treasurer and president. His efforts helped San Diego grow membership year after year, invigorated the alumni events in San Diego, and helped them earn multiple Distinguished Chapter awards.

Steve is married to the former Sue Lesko of Kenosha, WI and lives in San Diego. He is currently employed as a senior acquisition analyst at Navy Information Warfare Systems Command in the Carrier & Air Integration Division (PMW 750).
