Introduction

Welcome!  NAPS Parents have compiled this HANDBOOK as a service to the Parents of incoming students at the US Naval Academy Prep School and their families. Technically the students heading to the USNA are referred to as Midshipman Candidates (M/Cs). Students going to the Coast Guard Academy are referred to as Cadet Candidates (C/Cs). As a group they are all just called NAPSters. These other students will become family to your son/daughter and their parents will become your extended family too. This year will be a group project and you are part of the equation!

Please take the time to read all 5 pages of information. You will find it to be invaluable over the coming year. This HANDBOOK is organized into four sections, this Introduction and three other pages.  Each may be accessed by clicking on a divider tab to the right of the screen.  To return to your place in the HANDBOOK when a hyperlink takes you to an outside website, just use your browser's "Back" button or click on one of the folder tabs.

Every effort has been made to insure the accuracy of the HANDBOOK's content but we ask that you verify dates and places prior to accepting them as completely accurate since some events and information are subject to change without our knowledge.
